On May 20, a tornado struck Moore, Oklahoma, killing 24 people and injuring 377 others. It was a compact area that was struck, but the strong tornado ripped apart everything in its way. I was sent there by VG to cover the story, but when I had arrived there after a long flight from Oslo, the situation had stabilized a lot and I was sent home after a short while in the field. Even though thousands of families lost everything, it’s beautiful to see their hope shine through. The first thing that they did was to hang up the american flag.
